"Pretty good email support, I think"
I had to email them about something with my account, and they got back to me fairly quickly. The reply was clear enough and it sorted the issue out, so I can’t really complain. It wasn’t instant or anything, but that’s normal, right? Overall, I’m happy with how it went.

"Super easy to use tbh"
I’ve been using historyhit.com and it’s easy to get around. Pages load fast, and I didn’t have to click around forever just to find the shows I wanted. The search works fine too, which is always a plus lol. The layout is nice and simple, even on my phone. No complaints from me tbh.

"I’ve noticed that a lot of videos are..."
I’ve noticed that a lot of videos are missing subtitles, it makes watching them frustrating, especially when you actually need them.

"The stuff is good and I…"
The stuff is good and I do like it, but I’m not sure it’s worth paying for every month. The timing was kind of annoying too because I got charged right when I wasn’t really using it much, so it felt like bad timing more than anything. I might come back to it later, but monthly feels a bit much right now.

"Helpful and easy"
Got a helpful reply quickly, and it was all simple, simple. No big fuss, no extra hassle, just what I needed

"Good videos, but I wish it felt more balanced"
I’ve watched a few of the history videos while eating lunch or folding laundry, and some of the topics are genuinely interesting. The site itself is easy to get around too, which I appreciate because I’m not trying to hunt through five menus just to find a video. But after a while, the editorial tone started to feel kind of one sided to me. It sometimes seems like they’re nudging you toward one takeaway instead of laying out a few different perspectives. It’s not awful by any means, and I’ll probably still check in if a topic catches my eye, but I was hoping for something that felt a little more balanced overall.

"Easy to Trust and Read :)"
I really like that the articles feel properly checked and not just packed with random myths or questionable info. They’re easy to read too, which makes the whole experience way better!

"I use History Hit quite a bit when..."
I use History Hit quite a bit when I’m travelling, and the offline viewing has been really handy. I usually download a few documentaries before a train ride or flight, and they play fine without wifi, which makes it way easier to actually watch the stuff I’ve saved. One download did take ages once, and when I asked about it I felt a bit brushed off, like it wasn’t really worth looking into. Still, the feature itself works well most of the time, and I’m happy to have it.

"Canceling Was a Whole Nightmare"
I just wanted to cancel, and somehow it turned into this giant hassle. Like, why does it have to feel like I’m trying to escape a maze? Way more annoying than it needed to be

"Good idea, but it feels harder to enjoy than it should"
I really wanted to like History Hit more than I did. Some of the topics are genuinely interesting, but the original shows feel a bit hit or miss. A lot of episodes seem stretched out, and sometimes they don’t go as deep as I hoped. The presenters are okay, but quite a few shows just feel like a podcast with some visuals added, which makes the whole thing feel less polished. It’s one of those simple things that somehow feels harder than it needs to be. For the price, I expected stronger, more professional history documentaries.

"Feels Like My TV and Tablet Are Plotting Against Me"
I tried using the app, but it just keeps crashing on my tablet every time I open it. And it won’t work on my TV either, which feels a little too suspicious at this point. Like, are my devices secretly in a meeting deciding I don’t get to watch anything today? Frustrating experience...

"Good history content, but a little hit or miss"
I’ve been watching History Hit on and off, and I’ve noticed a bit of a pattern: the episodes with a strong story or clear through-line usually hook me, while the ones that are more lecture-style can start to drag. The topics are genuinely interesting, and there’s definitely a lot there if you’re into history, but the entertainment value isn’t always consistent. Some shows make me want to keep watching, others I kind of leave halfway through and come back to later. Overall, it’s solid, just not the kind of thing I end up bingeing for hours.

"Fun History Rabbit Hole, Even If I Lose Track of the Timeline"
I like that this site covers a bunch of different history topics, not just the usual wars, kings, and big events everyone already talks about. Some articles pull me in more than others, but there’s almost always something new to click on. I do sometimes get a little mixed up on what happened before what, especially when I jump between time periods, but that’s part of the fun. It’s a nice site if you enjoy random bits of history and don’t mind going down a few rabbit holes...

"Good history content, but billing caught me off guard"
I actually liked the history material more than I expected, and there’s definitely some good stuff there. The only issue for me was the billing. I thought I was still on a trial, then ended up getting charged sooner than I had in mind. I wouldn’t call it a scam or anything like that, but I do wish the pricing and renewal date had been a lot more obvious upfront.

"Great shows, frustrating app"
I really like the shows. But the app? Not great. It keeps freezing. Sometimes videos won’t even load. Just sits there. Super annoying when I’m trying to watch something.

"Documentaries felt really low effort to me"
I signed up for History Hit mainly for the documentaries, but the production quality just felt really cheap. A few parts looked like basic YouTube clips with nicer narration over them, and the sound levels were all over the place. It just wasn’t really worth it for me, so I ended up cancelling quickly

"Interesting history content, but a little hit or miss"
I’ve found some really interesting stuff on the site, especially when it mixes in history with different topics, like old events, famous people, random cultural stories, or even little background details behind shows and articles. But the quality feels kind of uneven. Some pieces pull me in and make me want to keep reading or watching, while others feel like they end right when they’re getting good, or they only give a quick overview instead of going deeper. It’s like some articles feel researched and thoughtful, and others feel more like a short summary, a teaser, or something you’d skim in a few minutes. I still like the variety and the history angle, but I wish it was more consistent across the site.

"Tons of history stuff"
There are loads of history videos on here, which I really like. I’ve found some interesting ones to watch, but trying to find a specific topic can feel kinda messy sometimes. Not a huge deal, just wish it was a bit easier to search thru.
"Great First Impression That’s Held Up"
My first impression of History Hit was really good, and after using historyhit for a few weeks, that hasn’t changed. The videos load quickly, I haven’t had any random buffering, and it even runs smoothly on my tablet. I’ve watched a couple of longer documentaries in the evening and the quality stayed consistent the whole time. It’s also easy to jump back in where I left off, which I appreciate. Overall, I’m really happy with it.
